Don Toney Limited Edition Golfing Bronze
"In the Rough" is the title of this limited edition bronze figurine. Dated 1991, and signed "Don Toney", this is number 34 of 100. Figurine is of man with golf clubs, with golf ball in front of him., mounted on turned oak plinth. Measures 18cm high (7.1/8 inches). Base of wood is 9cm diameter (3.1/2 inches). Great gift for the golfer in your family!

Old NZ Oil Painting, Waterfall.
Vintage oil on canvas - early 20th century, or possibly late 19th century. Unsigned New Zealand scene of waterfall and bush with clump of toi toi in foreground. Comes in what would have been the inner frame of a larger gilded frame. Loosely fitted into this, with just stretched canvas over wood as inner.
Painting itself measures 29 cm high by 34.5 cm wide.
Condition is very good - one small dot on bottom edge where canvas is exposed, otherwise no damage.

19th Century Miniature in Velvet Frame.
A 19th century Victorian period oval miniature of a woman - water colour painted on card (I think) - could be oil, as there is a faint crackle glazing to the surface, indicating some form of thin varnish. The painting is mounted under glass in an oval brass surround set in purple velvet. This is then enclosed in a velvet hinged case. Case and mount generally in very good condition - there is a mark on the inside left fabric, and some general minor age wear.
The painting has a few minor foxing spots - one to the nose, one to the left cheek - but is in good condition otherwise. The woman has a black hat or mob cap on her head, with brown hair peeping out from under it. She is wearing black dress - mourning? Whole outer case measures 14.3/4 inches (12cm) x 4 inches (10cm). The painting itself measures with a frame area of all around.

A rural scene, Victorian period English water-colour painting. Duck pond and field with figures and horse. Village in background, and castle mostly hidden behind trees on the hill in the background. Signed W, and dated 1869. The painting has been reframed and mounted, and on the rear is a note "By Walseth". Watercolour measures 19cm high by 28cm wide (7.1/2 inches by 11 inches wide). Whole in frame measures 32cm by 41cm (11.3/4 inches by 16 inches). Excellent condition.

Pair of Italian Scene Watercolors, Signed.
Scene of Mount Etna and the Bay of Naples, and a scene of moonlight on water and rocks. Both signed "Montrillo". Well executed and very attractive with great play on the moonlight in both paintings. Framed, they measure 22 cm by 33 cm (8.3/4 inches by 13 inches). The actual painting measures 10 cm by 21.5 cm (4 inches by 8.1/2 inches). Very good condition. Very attractive vintage watercolours.
Any strange marks you see are reflections of the camera and room on the glass.

Castle Gates Miniature in Carved Frame
A handpainted plaque, probably bone, decorated with a scene of castellated gates. Mounted in a carved hardwood easel frame. Looks Indian in style. Measures 13.5 cm high, 10.5 cm wide (5.1/4 inches by 4.1/8 inches). Frame in excellent condition. Miniature has a little wear on one side, otherwise excellent.

Benjamin Landara Painting, Australian.
Aboriginal painting by Benjamin Landara, painted mid 20th century. In its original frame. Signed. Whole measures 56cm by 42cm (22 inches by 16.1/2 inches). Excellent condition - colours are predominantly blue and greens, I don’t know if this is the result of a little colour fading, or if they were originally this shade. Very attractive painting, and typical of this artist and genre.
Benjamin Landara (1921-1985).
Benjamin was schooled at the Hermannsburg Lutheran Mission (west of Alice Springs). He married Albert Namatjira’s eldest daughter Maisie and took up painting in the late 1940s. He often painted with Albert who encouraged Benjamin and had a hand in some of his early works. This style of painting are sometimes referred to as Finger Paintings.
