Victorian Large Cameo Brooch. 19th century Victorian period genuine shell cameo - very well-carved head with floral head-dress. Brooch measures 5.4 cm by 4.6 cm (2.1/8 inch by 1.7/8 inch). The mount is made from wax filled gold, and is fitted with a safety chain. Excellent condition.

Victorian Carved Jet and Pearl Brooch. A mourning brooch, late Victorian or very early Edwardian. Made in carved jet set with a tiny gold-mounted seed pearl in the centre. Brooch measures 4.9 cm wide and 1.2 cm high (1.15/16 inch by 7/16 inch). Very good condition. Would also make a stylish brooch for modern day wear.

Victorian Target Brooch with Photo Holder A Victorian period target brooch - 15 ct gold, with the reverse side having a glass-fronted pull out panel to hold a photo or lock of hair. Brooch measures 2.8 cm diameter (1.1/8 inches). The central raised gold ball sits on a dark blue enamel star. Condition: Brooch is basically in very good condition - there is a small chip in the star enamel, but not visible to the naked eye. The second raised round section has separated a little, and the clasp pin is base metal.
A typical design for a Victorian remembrance or mounring brooch, and still very attractive today after about 130 years.

Gold Cameo Brooch or Pendant, Diana and Stag 9ct gold-mounted cameo with Diana the Huntress and a stag carved into the shell. It has a fixed suspension loop at the top, so can be worn as a pendant, and also a pin at the rear for wearing as a brooch. At the lower edge is a fixed ring to anchor a safety chain if needed. Brooch measures 3.7 cm high and 2.2 cm wide (almost 1.1/2 inches by 7/8 inch). Probably Victorian or Edwardian (say circa 1880-1905). Very good condition - Diana’s face is a bit worn smooth, and I think the pin may have been replaced at some stage.

Victorian Lava Cameo Brooch. A small lava cameo, classical Roman face in very high relief. Face detailing is very nicely done. Lava jewellery was very fashionable in Victorian England. These were usually souvenirs of travel in Italy, especially to the Pompeii archaeological excavations site under Mount Vesuvius. This delightful little example has what is probably a pinchbeck mount, and is in excellent condition. Measures: 25mm by 22mm ( 1 inch by 7/8 inch). Airmail Post to North America: US$5.50.

Edwardian Citrine and Natural Pearl Brooch. Gold bar brooch, set with natural pearls and three oval citrines. Very early 20th century. Brooch measures 55 mm long and 6 mm deep (2.1/8 inch by 1/4 inch). Excellent condition. Would benefit from a professional clean at the rear. No hallmarks, but guaranteed gold, probably 14 ct but possibly 18ct. Probably European made.

Platinum Brooch, Floral, with Diamonds. Flower spray diamond brooch, made circa 1910. It is made in platinum, and set with approx. 1.90ct old cut diamonds. Brooch measures 43 mm by 25 mm (1.11/16 inch by 1 inch). There are 12 diamonds, with the largest being approx. 4.5 mm diameter. and the smallest being about 1 or 1.5 mm diameter.
Marked "560. MK. 2.6" by hand on the rear. Excellent condition.

Gold Flower Brooch with Turquoises and Pearl. A 9ct gold brooch in a very attractive setting: the shape of a flower-head. It is set with turquoise beads around the outside edge. and has a cultured pearl in the centre. The gold has been brushed to give it the texture of plants. The reverse is fully hallmarked as 9ct gold (9.375 ) London (imported goods mark) 1969, and the makers marks is "...HL". The brooch measures 3cm diameter. (1.1/8 inches.) In excellent condition.

Retro 14ct Gold, Diamond and Ruby Brooch. Very large brooch, or pin, as it has two prongs at the rear, one with a safety catch, and one with no catch (made without, probably to give the brooch stability). 14 ct yellow gold, with 13 genuine diamonds totalling .20ct, and 5 man-made rubies. Gold weight is 18 grams. The brooch measures about 54 mm diameter (2/.1/8 inches).
It is very 1930s cocktail in style, and a good heavy weight in gold. Quite an attention-getter.
