Antique Tortoiseshell Pique Sword Brooch. Tortoiseshell brooch in the shape of a cutlass, inlaid (pique) with silver in a stylised flower and leaves design. Brooch measures 6 cm by 1.4 cm (2.5/16 inch by 9/16 inch). Simple sprung-pin clasp on the back.
Excellent condition. Would date from late 19th or very early 20th century.

Large Silver Gilt Agate Brooch with Locket. Large brooch - front is a beautifully marbled piece of agate, and rear is an opening photo or locket panel. The brooch is silver, with the remains of gilding on it. Quite a statement piece, very handsome.
Measures: 62.5 mm wide by 44 mm deep (about 2.1/2 inches by 1.3/4 inches). Very good condition.
Would date from late Victorian to early 20th century - say 1890-1910.

Blue Enamel, Silver, Fleur de Lis Brooch Fob. .900 silver and blue enamel French fleur de lis watch fob - there is a brooch pin behind the motif, and the lower part has a suspension pin with a parrot's beak clasp through which you would connect your small lady’s fob watch. You can remove the fob clasp altogether, leaving you with a pretty enamel fleur de lis brooch. Whole measures 4.25 cm long and 2 cm wide (about 1.3/4 inches by 3/4 inch). Without the lower swing clasp, it is 2.8 cm long (1.1/8 inches). Extremely good condition - one tiny speck of enamel off the very tip of the lower fob piece, otherwise perfect. Early 20th century.

Silver and Moonstone Scorpion Brooch. An early 20th century brooch in the shape of a scorpion. Are you a Scorpio? Then this could be right for you. The body is set with 4 graduated moonstones. The metal probably low grade silver. Brooch is 5.6 cm wide and 2.3 cm deep (2.3/16 inch by just under 1 inch). Condition is very good, although the moonstones exhibit some flaws (probably natural to them). This is a brooch with a difference!

Edwardian Coin Brooch, 1902. Brooch made of three Edwardian period coins showing the head of Edward the Seventh. The centre coin is dated 1902.

Moonstone Crescent Brooch. Lovely early 20th century brooch - a crescent of moonstones. The metal is probably low-grade silver. Brooch measures 2.5 cm diameter (1 inch). One stone (second from top on right hand side) has a chip, but this is not noticeable. Otherwise very good condition.

Arts and Crafts Silver Brooch with Amber. Beautiful hammered silver bar brooch mounted with an oblong piece of amber. Arts and Crafts period, but made in Europe. .800 silver, stamped on the rear "Heinmeyer 800". The amber piece is held with two silver wires.
Measures 70 mm by 14 mm (2.3/4 inches by 1/2 inch). Very good condition. A very handsome brooch.

Silver Circular Brooch. An early 20th century round brooch, shield-like pattern with central dome and beaded rim. Measures 3.2cm diameter (1.1/4 inches). It has a few tiny indentations on the rim, commensurate with age and usage. The design is late Victorian or Edwardian. No hallmarks.

Art Nouveau Silver and Turquoise Bar Brooch. An Edwardian period Art Nouveau bar brooch, made in silver with a central oval cabochon turquoise, and little Art Nouveau motifs at each end. No marks. Brooch measures 5.65cm long and 1.35cm deep (2.1/4 inches by 1/2 inch). Excellent original condition.

Rhinestone and Silver Vintage Brooch. Vintage European silver brooch, set with an original rhinestone to the centre. Striped with colour on the rear, this crystal refracts in a marvellous array of colours from reds to blues and greens. Stamped 855 on the base of the catch, this would have been made in Europe around the 1910 to 1920s period. It measures 5.8 cm by 1.3 cm (2.1/4 inches by 1/2 inch). Excellent condition.

Cameo Brooch in Silver and Marcasite Mount. Very nice genuine shell cameo set in an 800 silver and marcasite surround. Very simple mount, which sparkles with the marcasite. Dating from 1930s, the brooch measures 34 mm by 26 mm (1.1/4 inches by 1 inch). Being 800 silver, it would have been made in Europe. It also has a suspension ring at the rear, so you could wear it as a pendant, or use the ring for a safety chain. Very good condition. There are a few tiny marcasite stones absent, but you wouldn’t notice this - a jeweller can replace these if necessary.

Vintage Silver and Paua Shell Brooch. Bar brooch with drop pendant hexagonal panel. Sterling silver, inset with New Zealand paua shell. Beautiful iridescent colours of green, blue , purple.
Brooch measures 2.6 cm wide by 3.6 cm high (1 inch by 1.7/16 inch). Back is marked "Sterling" on the hexagon and "Silver" on the bar. Very good condition.

Large Sterling Silver, Enamel Crest Brooch Large enamel brooch - heart shaped with the centre bearing a crowned armourial crest. Stamped to the rear "Sterling". Very heavy. Measures approx. 5.4 cm by 4.8 cm (2.1/8 inches by 1.7/8 inches). It is slightly curved to fit. Very good condition. Some very minor pitting in the crest enamel, but I think this has been there since manufacture. If anyone recognises the crest - could they let me know what it is??
