Sterling Silver Handled Button Hook, 1902. Sterling silver handled button hook, hallmarked for Birmingham 1902, maker E.S.B. Quite a short one, it measures 17.7 cm long (7 inches). The sterling handle is in excellent condition. The plated steel hook has plating wear showing some signs of surface corrosion. Very attractive item.

Plain Steel Buttonhook. A vintage plain steel buttonhook - would date from 1900-1920. Measures 11.25cm (4.1/2 inches) long. Good sound condition, but steel has usual minor bloom and spots - would probably clean up well with fine wire wool.
 

Folding Handle Buttonhook. A large steel folding-handle buttonhook, dating from late 19th century to around 1920s. Folded, it measures 6.5cm (2.3/4 inches) long, and 4cm (1.5/8 inches) wide. Extended, it measures 11.75cm (4.5/8 inches) long. In good condition, but steel has usual bloom and spots commensurate with age.
 

Tortoiseshell Vintage Shoehorn. A small shoehorn, tortoiseshell as far as I can tell, but could be an early plastic. Measures 10.8cm long and 4.6cm wide (4.1/4 inches by 1.7/8 inches). Very good condition.
 

Edwardian Sterling Silver Button Hook, 1906. A long button hook with steel hook and sterling silver handle. Hallmarks are for Birmingham 1906, Edwardian period. Maker’s mark is C. & N. Also carries registration mark no. 44746. The steel has some discolouration , otherwise in very good condition.

Sterling Silver Nurses Buckle. An ornate heavy sterling silver buckle, hallmarked for London 1981. The design is Art Nouveau-inspired, with flowers, leaves and scrolls. Measures 5cm high (2 inches), and 8cm (3.1/4 inches) wide when linked together. The traditional gift to a graduating nurse in past days. Weight: approx. 55 grms.
