Typical Satsuma gilded outlines and diaper pattern to top and base. Vase measures 21.5cm high (8.1/2 inches), and is 9cm diameter at its widest point (3.5/8 inches). It bears the crest mark of the Prince of Satsuma and the mark of Japan. Probably Meiji period. Excellent condition. Some wear to the gilding around the neck opening.
