Charlotte Rhead Wall Pocket Vase, 1920s. Bursley Ware, Charlotte Rhead, England - wall pocket in cream with gold raised dots, swirls and rims. Impressed mould mark "10" on rear. Pocket measures 23 cm high and 15 cm wide (9 inches by 6 inches). Excellent condition. Designed by Charlotte Rhead, made by H.J. Wood of the Alexandra Pottery, Burslem, in the Staffordshire Potteries. (The same potteries that made E.Radford ware).

Art Deco Charlotte Rhead Crown Ducal Vase A beautiful vase by the British designer Charlotte Rhead. Made by Crown Ducal potteries, (A.G. Richardson & Co ) of Tunstall in the Staffordshire Potteries. This would have been made in the 1930’s, and is in the typical colours of the era, dark apple green, cream, orange and pewter. It is decorated in Charlotte Rhead’s trademark tube lining, and is signed by her on the base. (See photos). In very good condition. It measures 14.5cm (5.3/4 inches) high and is 16.5cm (6.1/2 inches) wide handle to handle.

Two Clarice Cliff Serving Platters, Matana. Two pretty ashets (platters), one larger, one smaller. They have a transfer printed pattern of stylized flowers, and handpainted blushing pink band and blue and green bands.
The pattern is called "Matana" and carries the Clarice Cliff Newport Pottery mark, with the registration mark 840078, which makes it circa 1940-1950. In fact, one is stamped 45 and the other 47, for 1945 and 1947. The body moulding detail to the edge is the same as was used for the commonly-produced green and cream dinner service.
Largest platter measures 31 cm by 24 cm (12 inches by 9.1/2 inches) and the smaller measures 28 cm by 22 cm (11 inches by 8.3/4 inches).
Both in excellent condition.

Clarice Cliff Water Lily Dish. Clarice Cliff dish, unfortunately faulted on one handle area. The design is Water Lily (982), referred to as a "tray" in the original catalogue pages. Newport Pottery, circa 1935-36.
Lovely ridged plate, made like water ripples with the waterlilies at either handle. One handle has been broken and reglued and rather crudely repainted. This could be professionally restored to great effect. Clean overall crazing, some common to an earthenware body.
Dish measures 29 cm by 21 cm (11.1/2 inches by 8.1/4 inches).

Maling Thumbprint Large Sandwich Plate. Green thumbprint pattern sandwich plate, with pink blossom on cream lustre border. Pottery is Maling, England, circa 1950. Has some staining on the rear, and a little yellowing centrally. Wear to gilded edges. No chips or cracks - a nice plate, good clear colours. Measures 30 cm by 16.5 cm (about 12 inches by 6.1/2 inches).

Maling Thumbprint Dish, Blue, Clematis. Maling lustre glaze oblong handled dish. The pattern is Clematis, with the blue thumbprint centre and handles. Gilding to edge rims. 1950s.
Dish measures 30.5 cm wide by 19.5 cm deep and 4.5 cm high (12 inches wide, 7.3/4 inches deep and 1.3/4 inches high).
No chips or cracks - some light knifemark scratches inside, otherwise excellent.

Maling Thumbprint Dish, Anemone. Boat-shaped Maling dish, pink thumbprint pattern with Anemone flowers decoration.
Dish measures 26.5 cm wide by 13.5 cm deep and 3.5 cm high (10.1/2 inches by 5.1/4 inches and just under 1.1/2 inches high). It has a pretty self scrolling pattern on the handles and around the top of the dish.
Very good condition - light overall clean crazing as typical.

Poole Floral Sugar Bowl and Creamer. Carter, Stabler Adams Poole set of cream jug and sugar bowl. Pale pink interiors, and hand painted floral design to outside. Early 1950s mark, small sized set. Sugar is 5 cm high and 12.5 cm wide handle to handle (2 inches by 5 inches). The jug is 7.25 cm high and 9 cm wide handle to spout (3 inches by 3.1/2 inches). Sugar is in excellent condition. The little jug has a small chip fill repair underneath the rim.

Poole Jug, 1950s Truda Carter Style. Very retro shape to this pretty Carter, Stabler Adams Poole jug. The decoration is free form flowers and birds. Jug measures 10 cm high, and 15 cm wide handle to spout (4 inches by 6 inches). It has a little heat staining inside the bottom of the jug, doesn't show through to outside. Otherwise excellent condition. 1950-1955 period.

Susie Cooper Dresden Spray Platter. An English oval ashet from the 1930s - made by Susie Cooper,Crown Works, Burslem. The pattern is the popular Dresden Spray, with pink blushed border band. Small ashet measures 30cm wide and 23.5cm deep (12 inches by 9.1/4 inches). Very good condition overall, with a small scratch to the border paint, and some small areas of crazing.
