1690
Two Candlesticks, Doulton Lambeth Silicon. An unusual duo of candlesticks - Doulton, Lambeth, "Silicon". Clay coloured bodies with applied leaves and flowers borders in white, dark blue and pale greeny/blue. Incised drag design to bases. The mark is for 1881-1912. One stick has the incised marks "V" and "LL", the other has what looks like "C" and "oo". One stick is a slightly paler colour than the other, and the white applied decoration is a creamer shade. It is fractionally larger than the other. Possibly not made as a pair, but very very similar. No chips or cracks to either, but the stick with the white decoration has a little of the top white layer missing on the centre stem band - not noticeable, as the colour has remained.
Candlesticks measure 16cm high (6.1/4 inches) and the bases are 10cm (4 inches) diameter.
Circa: 1881-1912
Condition: Used
Country of Origin: GB

Set of Three Royal Doulton Graduated Jugs. A very pretty set of three jugs - large, medium and small - in the "April" pattern, circa 1939. Pattern number D 6087. Creamware bodies, green outlines to rims and handles, shaped edges and forties.
The pattern is of trailing violets, yellow primroses, and another yellow flower. There are no chips or cracks, but all have a darkening to their feet, probably the result of being left for many years on an open shelf. This should be treatable.
