7210

Old Clay Pipe Bowl, King George. Old pipe bowl, from a clay pipe - it is in the shape of a head, looks very like King George V. Circa 1910 plus. Measures about 4 cm high and 3.3 cm deep (1.5/8 inches by 1.1/4 inches). These pipes were made to be disposable, but I don’t think this one has been used, although there is a somewht uneven rim, and a few marks on it. They were quite crudely made, as it was customary to break your pipe at the end of an evening’s carousing and smoking.
Circa: Circa 1910 plus

7219

Old Clay Pipe Bowl, Shaped as Head. Old pipe bowl, from a clay pipe - it is in the shape of a head, a bearded man, probably a notable figure or politician of the day. Circa 1910. Measures about 4 cm high and 3.3 cm deep (1.5/8 inches by 1.1/4 inches). These pipes were made to be disposable, but I don’t think this one has been used, although there is a scorch mark on the top and a minor chip at the rear. They were quite crudely made, as it was customary to break your pipe at the end of an evening’s carousing and smoking.
Circa: 1910 plus

C9719

Players Navy Cut, Adertising Glass Ashtray. Early 20th century moulded glass ashtray - "Players Navy Cur" around the rim, and a rear-cut image of the sailors head with sailing ship and possibly battleship at either side of him. The wording round the rim is moulded on the rear in little dots, so it gives a bright effect from the front - a technique often used in Victorian pressed glass. This would date circa WW1. Ashtray measures 12.5 cm diameter and 2.5 cm high (5 inches by 1 inch). Very good condition - no chips or cracks, just some wear to the inside surface of the glass in the bottom of the ashtray . Because of the image, this is not noticeable. A rare advertising dish.
Circa: Early 20th Century
Condition: Very Good - See Description

Trench Art Brass Cigarette Lighter. Tall brass flick lighter, made from brass shell casing. Measures 10.5 cm high and 2 cm diameter (4.3/16 inch by 3/4 inch).
