In linen, it has a pretty embroidered face with a pattern of cutwork cherubs and floral embroidery. The case is oblong, with a 32cm (12.1/2 inch) deep pocket, and a a slightly longer flap. Click for more detail... 7235	PAIR Victorian Pillow Slips. Embroidered. A beautiful pair of pillow slips - ruffled edges trimmed with lace, with hand embroidered patterns to the fronts. The ruffles have three rows of pin tucks, and the design on the pillow faces is a stylised floral motif, all embroidered in white. (Not easy to photograph white on white!). Slips have a buttoned back - little buttons covered in white cotton. Measurements: 45cm wide (17.3/4 inches) and approx. 70cm wide (17.1/2 inches). Ruffles are an extra 10cm deep all round (4 inches). Condition: The slips are basically in very good condition - they have been re-sewn by machine at the rear, around the whole rear panel and opening, where most stress would have occurred. There are some wear holes in the ruffles, but used as display pillows, this would not be noticeable. The embroidered fronts are in very good condition. These are a very pretty pair of slips.
