Moustache Cup and Saucer, Victorian. Porcelain moustache cup and saucer, pink design with gilded rims. No maker’s marks - would be German made for the export market. Has the inset shelf to stop your ‘tache ends from trailing in the tea. Cup is 7.5 cm high and 8 cm diameter, and saucer is 16.5 cm diameter (3 inches by 3.1/4 inches, and 6.1/2 inches diameter). Excellent condition, just some wear to the gilding.

Ornate Shaving Mug, Silver Flowers. A late Victorian shaving mug - very elaborate moulded white porcelain body, with the moulded flowers and leaves painted in silver gilding on one side. No maker’s marks.
Measurements: 9 cm high and 16.5cm wide (3.1/2 inches by 6.1/2 inches wide). Excellent condition (one stain inside, round dark, could have been a drop of gilding from manufacture).

Rosenthal Moustache Mug, Sevres Pattern. Pretty fine porcelain moustache mug - the maker is the excellent German pottery Rosenthal, and the pattern is Sevres. The body of the mug has self embossing, and is decorated with gilding and a mauve floral pattern. The shape is wide and shallow, measuring 12 cm wide and 5.5 cm high (4.3/4 inches by 2.1/4 inches). It has slight wear to the rim gilding, a very small chip and a very fine short hairline (where the moustache lip joins the body of the mug). However, a very pretty item .

Moustache Cup, Bridlington, England. A moustache cup, a souvenir from New Spa, Bridlington. Shows the beach with breakwaters, and promenade. Would date from Edwardian period (circa 1901-1910). Pink lustre glaze to body of mug, which is white porcelain. (The pink is fading - and gilding has nearly all gone). Measures 7.5cm high (3 inches). One small chip in rim, over moustache shelf area, and a body mark (firing fault), all shown in the photos. Bears the back stamp (S under blue crown) of P. Donath, of Tiefenfurt (Silesia).
 

Moustache Cup, Bluebirds and Motto. A Victorian moustache cup (the lip inside the rim prevents a gentleman’s moustache from trailing in the tea). It has a pair of bluebirds amongst flowers on the front, with the motto "Think of Me" in gold. Made in Germany. Measures 8cm (3 inches) high, and 9.5cm (3.3/4 inches) diameter, not including the handle. It has one small rim chip (not in the area designed for drinking). There is the usual wear to the gilding on the rim. Otherwise very good condition.
 

American Quad. Plate Shaving Mug. Shaving mug, wide mouthed, with ornate applied flower and swags decoration to the sides. Stamped underneath "Quadruple Plate. Meriden Conn. W.L.Cox Silver Plate. Patn’d Aug. 12, 1902. 52". Measures 6.5cm high and 8.75cm diameter excluding handle (2.1/4 inches by 3.1/2 inches). Excellent condition.
