Royal Commemorative 1938 Brooch, Three Kings. Brooch made in what could be copper or plated - shows three coin-like discs, each one with s different king. Each "coin" is rings in coloured enamel - one in red, one in white and one in blue. Left hand king is George V. Middle king is Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mother) and King George VI. Right hand king is Edward VIII (the abdicating king). Rear of brooch reads "Souvenir of the Coronation of King George VI and the Historic Year of 1938 during which England had three Kings".
Brooch measures 4.7 cm wide and 2 cm high (1.3/4 inches by 3/4 inch). Very good condition.

Boars Tusk Brooch, inlaid with Shell. Edwardian period (1901-1910) large tusk brooch - this is a New Zealand wild boar’s tusk, and it has been inlaid with New Zealand paua shell, with its beautiful iridescent colours of blue/green/mauve. It has the initial "B" inscribed at the rear. Boar’s tusk jewellery was quite the fashion in the very early 20th century, and since pig hunting in the bush was a popular pastime, the tusks were used as decoration in various ways. Usually, they were mounted in gold, but this one is very unique in being inlaid with shell. This unusual beautiful brooch measures 98 mm wide and 45 mm deep (3.7/8 inches by 1.3/4 inches).

Early Celluloid Brooch, Doves. Early 20th century very intricately detailed celluloid brooch with two doves - one is standing on a nest, and the other is alighting to feed her. The flying dove is forward of the nesting bird, and this gives a 3 dimensional effect. There is a little metal band of three leafed motifs around this scene, and looped detail as the outer border. Brooch measures 44 mm wide by 37 mm high (1.3/4 inches by about 1.1/2 inches). Excellent condition. Made to look like carved bone.

Boucher Rose Brooch with Cultured Pearl. Gold plated figural rose brooch by Boucher, signed. The centre of the rose is a cultured pearl. On the rear is the brooch name "Rose", and the number 83712 Modele Depose. Also the Boucher name and copyright symbol. Brooch measures 2.1/8 inches long by 1.1/2 inches wide (54 cm by 3.8 cm). Micro Mosaic Brooch, Vintage. Micro mosaic brooch, beautifully crafted in tiny, tiny little glass pieces into a central flower pattern with radiating petals filled with leaf designs. The back is metal, and has two stamps - one says "ETAL" and the other is unreadable - but could well say Italy, since that is where this beautiful little brooch comes from. It measures 22 mm diameter (7/8 inch). It is in excellent condition.

Dress Clip, Pearly Art Deco Style. Vintage Czechoslovakian dress clip, made in lucite with a pearly applied top finish.
Geometric design, and clip is wave shaped. Measures 5.2 cm by 2 cm (2 inches by 3/4 inch). Circa 1930s-50s. A few very, very small chips to the pearly finish on the edge, otherwise excellent.

Large Art Nouveau Brooch, Flowers and Turtle. Very large Art Nouveau brooch with rolled and folded corners - the pattern is a grid in relief with lotus flower and leaves, and a turtle with webbed feet and a large blue/green and brown stone set as his shell. Excellent detailing to the leaves, flower and turtle. No maker’s marks, and no hallmarks - the metal appears to be gilded brass. Brooch measures 7.3 cm wide by 5.5 cm high (2.7/8 inches by 2.3/16 inches). The theme and the workmanship of this brooch could well give it a Japanese origin. Probably early half of 20th century.
