C7771
Early Mickey Mouse Dolls Cup and Saucer. A cup and saucer from a child or doll’s tea set - porcelain, with dark peach lustre glaze, and print of Mickey and Minnie Mouse fishing. Could be Japanese in origin.
Mickey has some wear to the print on the saucer, and some wear to the lustre and transfer on the cup. Porcelain is in very good condition - its a bit rough on the base, right underneath on the central cup rim , but no chips as such - there is a glaze fault in the cup, but as this was made for a doll’s set, I don’t think absolute perfection was the order of the day for the manufacturer. An interesting item for the Mouse collector. Saucer is 8.5cm diameter (about 3.1/2 inches), and cup is 3cm high (1.1/4 inches).
Circa: Early half of 20th century
Condition: Very Good - see description

Click for more detail...
3434
Australian Aboriginal Face Dish. A black plaster style dish, moulded in the shape of an Australian Aborigine’s face. Signed on the back "Tanaes Australia", with the T of the Tanaes shaped like a spear. (At least I think it reads Tanaes - very hard to decipher). Dish measures 16cm by 9.5cm and 4cm high (6.1/4 inches by 3.3/4 inches, and 1.1/2 inches high). No chips or cracks, but some small losses to the black colour on edges and centre of dish (see photos), maybe some cigarettes have been stubbed out here. Could easily be repainted. Great piece of Australiana.
Circa: Mid 20th Century
Condition: See description
Country of Origin: AU
