C8416
WWI Oil Holder for Lee Enfield 303 Rifle. A vintage brass tube, with screw cap. The cap has a long narrow "spoon" gadget attached to it. You keep oil in the tube, and use the spoon for access. This belonged to a Lee Enfield 303 rifle - the butt hinged open and inside were slotted the oil capsule and your cleaning wadding.
Tube measures 9.5 cm long and 1.8 cm diameter (3.3/4 inches by 3/4 inch). Excellent condition, but needs a good clean outside. One end of tube is stamped "S & Co Ld." with "H" above it.
Circa: Circa 1913
Condition: Excellent, a bit dirty!

2188
Large Vintage Pond Yacht. Vintage pond yacht, modelled as a gaff rigged ketch. It has a solid timber hull 122 cm long (48 inches), or overall length of 138.5 cm (54.1/2 inches) including the bowsprit. Beam is 25.5 cm (10 inches), and depth of hull is approx. 23 cm (9 inches). Overall height including masts is about 109 cm (43 inches).
Lovely varnished laid timber deck, metal deck fittings, and timber masts with wishbone fittings to end of booms and gaffing booms. It has 6 chain-plates to each side (two groups of three each side) and a long keel.
At some stage recently it has had new canvas sails made - to me, they look a little small for the size of the hull, but easy enough to make some more. The rigging is just white string.
Yacht comes with a plain timber cradle, making it a great display item.
Condition is very good overall - hull and deck are excellent, although hull could do with a repaint. The booms have problems with all the wishbone ends - all have been repaired at some time, and one is missing an arm to the wishbone. Masts, rudder, tiller and cradle are all excellent. Sails and rigging as above.
Would date from around 1920s-30s.
Circa: 1920s-30s
Condition: Very Good - see description
