A circa 1890 Victorian glass basket - made in hand (or really mouth I suppose) blown glass, Twist handle, crimped frill edge. Aqua blue fading to white, with ochre streak marbling on sides. Vase measures 15cm high (6 inches) and 13cm wide (5 inches). Has a rough piece on one handle where it attaches to the side of the base, otherwise perfect. The stag is very well detailed, you can see its ribs and the fur on the neck. Vase stands 14 cm high and 8 cm diameter (5.1/2 inches by 3.1/8). Excellent condition. Click for more detail... C7881	Bohemian Red Flashed Glass, Schwalbach Scene. A vintage Bohemian crystal glass or vase - flashed red, with a beautifully engraved detailed rural scene of fields and rolling hills, in which sits a town with church spires etc. The name underneath is Schwalbach. The scene is impossible to photograph (by me anyway), but believe me, its very well done. On the reverse side of the glass is a slightly concave red ringed area, which feels like a finger ridge for when the glass is held. Unfortunately, there is a fault on this item - see photo - it has a fairly shallow but long sliver of glass off the rim. This could be ground down, as it is only approx. 2 mm depth. There are a few scuff marks on the red glass underneath the base. Good quality weight and workmanship. Measures 13.2 cm high and 8 cm diameter (5.3/16 inch high and 3.3/16 inch diameter). Click for more detail... 4607	Bohemian Green Glass Perfume Bottle,19th Cent A beautiful perfume or scent bottle - 19th century Bohemian glass, dark green with lovely gilded scroll patterns, panels of cut and enamelled hobnail pattern glass, and panels of handpainted floral decoration. The neck and stopper are gilded, and underneath is the handpainted little figure "23." The neck has been repaired at some time (having had a slice out of it which has been glued back in), and the gilding on it has been repainted a little crudely to cover the repair (which appears to have been professionally done). There is some wear to the gilded scroll work, as is natural for an item this old. The stopper also has the little letter "23." underneath it. This is a really beautiful item, measuring 14cm high (5.1/2 inches) and 7cm diameter (just over 2.3/4 inches). I think this lovely little item is a night light or candle holder - but not too sure. It has gilding, and painted pink flowers and green wreaths. The clear glass chimney has white and gilt enamel dots on it. The funnel neck is 2.5cm diameter (1 inch), and the base is 6cm diameter (2.3/8 inch). Height is 6cm (2.3/8 inch).
