Vintage Fur Coat, Herringbone Pelt Detailing. Vintage fur coat, dating from 1930s-40s. European-made, and very stylish. Buttons on front, fully lined, with gathered lining at sleeves cuff, so cold doesn’t get in! Herringbone pattern to the pelts. I think the fur is rabbit, and the colour is a sort of mauve/brown. The coat is cut in the swing style, with swirling skirt and a yolk at the back. Raised shoulders and a lovely cuddly collar that can be turned up against the snow. Length at centre back is 113 cm, not including the collar. I think size would be about an NZ size 14 to 16 (USA size 12-14).
Condition: Some minor wear to the cuff edges, but these could be turned up, as the sleeves are very long. Tear to the lining around the top arm/body join. Otherwise very good condition.

Heavy Vintage Fur Calf-Skin Coat. Raised shoulders and small stand-up collar give this coat a real 1930s-40s shape. The fur is short pelt, very like a shaved wool. It has a leather backing, to the pelt, and I think it is calf-skin. It is a shaved effect, dark brown, and quite heavy and dense. Length is 99 cm from centre back, not including the collar. It is quite a small size, about an NZ size 8 (USA size 6). Fully lined. Very good condition, just a little wear on edge of one cuff.
