Arts and Crafts Brass Tea Caddy.
A hammered brass, lidded tea caddy - Arts and Crafts period. Has maker’s stamp of "Made in England. J.S & S. Solid Brass" underneath. Measures 10.4cm wide by 7.5cm deep by 12.3cm high (4.1/16 inches by 3 inches by 4.7/8 inches high). Basically in very good condition - has a few small indentations, including on top rim. Early 20th century. I haven’t cleaned it quite properly, which are the darker patches in the photos.

A vintage nutcracker, made in the shape of two dancing girls. The figures look Thai or Indian, although the nutcracker has a British Regd. mark
Solid brass, good weight.

Bronze Tray, made from Wedding Invitation
A little 14.5 x 11cm bronze tray (5.1/4 inches by 4.1/4 inches) - it is made from the original printing plate for a wedding invitation (an engraved invitation), of a wedding held in in the year.
If you put the copper to a mirror (as the writing is reversed for printing) it reads" Lieutenant and Mrs Frank Roberts Mead have the honour of announcing the marriage of their daughter, Barbara Cook to Major John Goodman Hodges, Royal Army Service Corps, Tuesday, the twenty sixth of June, One thousand, nineteen hundred and forty five. Holy Trinity Church, London, England." A June wedding in 1945.
The tray has a maker’s mark stamped under the rim "Tiffany & Co., Makers, Bronze.w."
Needs a polish, but in excellent condition. We have another printer’s plate tray from the same family, in which the parents of the above bride are married. A lovely memento.

Pretty brass plated (probably) drop-handle style drawer pulls. Art Nouveau/Edwardian style with central flower and leaves. Handles measure 8.5 cm wide and 2.6 cm high (3.3/8 inches by 1 inch).

Victorian Door Knocker with Letter Slot.
Brass doorknocker, under the knocker is a slot for your letters. Very clever! Nicely patinated old brass, but if you prefer your metal shiny, no doubt it would polish up. The rear bears the maker’s initials (C.J.S. entwined on the reverse of the knocker), and also the diamond date/registration mark which was used in England from about 1843 to 1884. I can’t quite read the date (it looks like 1846 but can’t be sure). Excellent condition.
Measurements: 20 cm long by 6 cm wide (8 inches by just under 2.1/2 inches).
Circa: 19th Century Victorian Period

Pair Brass Austrian Secessionist Candlestick
Stylish pair of Austrian Secessionists Movement candle holders - square section stems with detachable sconces, geometric base with swag decoration. They are stamped under the base with "GES. GESCH".
They measure 18 cm high, by 16 cm by 13 cm (7 inches high by 6.1/4 inches by 5.1/8 inches).

Don Toney Limited Edition Golfing Bronze
"In the Rough" is the title of this limited edition bronze figurine. Dated 1991, and signed "Don Toney", this is number 34 of 100. Figurine is of man with golf clubs, with golf ball in front of him., mounted on turned oak plinth. Measures 18cm high (7.1/8 inches). Base of wood is 9cm diameter (3.1/2 inches). Great gift for the golfer in your family!

Large Photo Frame, Gilded Brass, Early 20th
A really lovely oval gilded-brass frame - quite large at 20.5 cm high (just over 8 inches). The top of the frame is surmounted by a ribbon-formed bow, and the frame itself is cut-rope beaded and cock beaded, so lovely detail to the work. It has an easel back, and dates from the early 20th century. In absolutely excellent condition. A real item of quality workmanship.

A Copper Tray, Made from Wedding Invitation
A crimped edge little tray, made from the original printer’s plate for a wedding invitation. (A true engraved invitation). Tray measures 17.5cm by 14cm (7 inches by 5.1/2 inches). The invitation (which is in mirror image for printing) reads "Mrs & Mrs Jacob Henry Cook request the pleasure of your company at the Wedding reception of their daughter Dorothy May, and Mr Frank Roberts Mead
on Tuesday the fourteenth of April at half after eight o’clock, "The Peaks", Sound Beach, Connecticut. R.S.V.P."
The rear of the plate is stamped "Dempsey & Carroll, New York".
A wonderful memento of a wedding. Since this is the same family as another tray-plate we are offering, this will date around the 1920s.
