Bronze Japanese Engraved Koro.
A classical three-legged small koro, made in bronze, with two handles and engraved decoration of seated man, with other ornately dressed figures. Good clear impressed marks underneath. Heavy, weighs 945 grms. Measures 10 cm (4 inches) high and about 14 cm diameter (5.1/2 inches).
Excellent condition, nice patination.

Cloisonné Lamp and Shade.
Finely made cloisonné vase lamp-base - pale blue with green bamboo stems as decoration. Very well made, beautiful quality work. Mounted on wooden stand, and then a white marble pad. It comes with a plain off-white fabric shade.
Lamp measures approx. 40 cm to top of shade (15.3/4 inches).
Wired for New Zealand - 240 volts, 10 amp plug.
Excellent condition.

Vintage Cloisonne Napkin Ring.
Cloisonné on brass Chinese napkin ring, yellow bird with pink, green and blue flowers on black cloud background with blue border. Turquoise enamel inside. Good heavy weight. Measures 2.8 cm high and 5.2 cm diameter (1.1/8 inches high and 2 inches diameter). Excellent condition outer - inside has a little marking on lower edge. If you use napkin rings, especially with guests staying, cloisonne rings are excellent, since they are all different, but uniformly attractive. Everyone will recognize the one they have been given, and it saves a lot of sorting out of table napkins!

Chinese Bamboo Birdcage, Porcelain Feeders.
A bamboo birdcage of the sort the Chinese use to carry their songbirds about. It is round, with little porcelain feeders, some nice curly detail, and a carved perch across the top with a circular perch lower down. The handle is chromed metal, and there is a removable bottom, and slide-up door. This cage is probably mid to late 20th century. Condition: there are three little round “portholes” which should each have a chrome clip that holds the bottom to the cage body. These clips are separate pieces, and there one missing. It should be quite simple to bend a piece of metal or wire to form a replacement clip for this, however, the two remaining clips hold the bottom quite adequately as it is. Otherwise this little cage is in excellent condition. It measures 30.5cm high (12 inches) not including the chrome handle, which is a further 9cm (3.1/2 inches) high. It is 20cm diameter (8 inches). A very decorative item.

Chinese Silk and Paper Figures Picture.
Two Chinese paper and silk figures, with hand painted faces, mounted on a mottled background, and framed in a pine frame with a metal chinese pattern hanger at the top. The framed area is in excellent condition. The frame is rustic pine, with glued corners, one of which is filled. Good clean condition. Picture measures 40cm (15.3/4 inches) by 20cm (8 inches). Figures are circa 1890 to 1920.

Two Lacquered Wood Stands.
Two beautiful lacquered Korean wood stands, octagonal shape, like a bowl, standing on crenelated feet. The insides are decorated with picture of stone gates and towers, and Japanese characters. Underneath the smaller bowl is a fan shape with lettering. The decoration is black incised. The larger bowl is 22cm (8.1/2 inches) diameter, and the smaller is 18.5cm (just under 7.1/2 inches diameter. Both are 6cm (just under 2.1/2 inches) high. In very good condition, just a little age wearing to the centre stamped motif inside each bowl.

Japanese Vintage Lacquered Box.
An early 20th century Japanese lacquered box. Plain black lacquered sides and interior. Lid has mottled design to one area, and brick red lacquered flowers on the other. There is the remains of a bird on the mottled sides, mostly worn off. There are a few chips etc. to the body, as is usually the case. Box measures 17.5cm by 12cm and 7.5cm high (7 inches by 4.3/4 inches and 3 inches high). Ex Wagener Museum.
