Click for more detail...
C10415

Crown Devon Large Urn Vase. Fielding's Crown Devon large vase, circa 1913. Beautiful urn style with lid, in colours and style much like Royal Worcester. Unfortunately, it is faulted. The neck has been off above the handles, and reaffixed - this repair is very discreet and could be restored to perfection. The upper neck has had a section broken out of it (probably at the same time) and this has also been very well put back together. This would also respond well to a professional restoration. Probably because of this break, the lid has been glued on. However, as these are older glues, it would most likely free with treatment. This is a very attractive vase in the Edwardian classic revival style, with lavishly gilded handles and lid finial. It measures about 40.5 cm high and approx. 16.5 cm wide (16 inches by 6.1/2 inches).
Circa: Circa 1913
Condition: Faults, see description
