Chamber Candle Holder, Silver Plate on Copper An old chamber candle stick, silver plated on copper. Georgian design, with aperture for match box, and slot for snuffer, which would have been attached to the handle. Removable sconce. Looks like Old Sheffield Plate, but probably later. Reeded edges, good turning detail, has been a quality item. No maker’s marks. Measures 14 cm diameter (5.1/2 inches), and is 10 cm high (4 inches). Has age wear to the plate, showing the bleed of the copper through on edges and on the plate of the base.

Sheffield Plate Ink Stand. Victorian Old Sheffield Plate standish with two pots - one for ink and the other with perforated shaker top for sand (to blot the ink). Pen rests at either side. Gadrooned edge with shell motif handles and paw feet. Measures about 26 cm wide and 18.5 cm deep (10 inches by 7.1/2 inches). Basically very good condition - a few minor nibbles around the (hidden) glass tops of the pots, and some bleed showing at edges of the pen rests and on the ink pot top. No maker’s marks or registration marks.

Old Sheffield Plate Bottle or Decanter Coaste Beautiful Old Sheffield Plate coaster, pierced work sides with a design of acanthus leaves and flower heads. Beaded rim with dark oak turned wood bottom. This would date from circa 1800. It measures 4.75 cm high and 12.2 cm diameter (1.7/8 inches by 4.3/4 inches).
Very good condition. A little bleed showing on the edges (see photos), but otherwise excellent for the age. No maker’s mark.

Victorian Silver Plate Basket. Cake or bread basket - or maybe fruit these days. Swing handle and basket with ornate pattern throughout. Good quality silver plate, maker’s mark is B.Bros. S. in a shield - could be either Briddon Brothers of Sheffield, or Barker Brothers, Birmingham. Both active in England around this time - 1880s period.
Basket measures 8 cm high or about 21.5 cm high with the handle up (3.1/4 inches and 8.1/2 inches). Diameter: 26 cm (16.1/4 inches). Excellent condition.

Ivory Handled Silver Plated Bread Fork. Three-pronged bread fork with silver plated tines and ivory handle. Floral design ferrule. Makers mark is for William Wheatcroft Harrison, of Sheffield, England. Victorian period, circa 1880. Fork is 16 cm long (6.1/4 inches). Excellent condition.

Victorian Meat Skewer, Silver Plated. Long Victorian period meat skewer. Silver plated, makers mark is or John Round & Sons, Sheffield.
Skewer measures 32 cm long (12 inches), and has a long sharp point. Condition is very good - some scuffs commensurate with age, but no wear to plate.

Victorian Plated Bottle Label, Initial L. Silver plated decanter or bottle label, Victorian period, late 19th century. It is in the shape of the initial "L". Initial measures 44 mm by 23 mm (1.3/4 inch by 7/8 inch). Very good condition, just the normal minor scuffs of use.

Victorian Meat Skewer, Silver Plated. Victorian period meat skewer, silver plate with initials in garter circle on the top panel. Initials are BWB or similar (not sure about the W). Maker’s mark is for Elkington & Co, Birmingham. Skewer measures 25.5 cm long (10 inches). Very sound condition - scuffs etc. commensurate with age, but nothing serious.

Pair Berry Spoons, Victorian Silver Plate. Elegant pair of Victorian berry spoons - the bowls have the embossed pattern of berries, flowers and foliage. There are still a few traces of the gilt wash which would have once been in the bowls. Handle pattern is Albany. Spoons each measure 22 cm long (8.3/4 inches). Very good condition.

Victorian Silver Plated Ornate Fish Servers. Beautiful fish servers, silver plated with engraved tines and blade, and ornate handles with scrolls and cartouches. Knife measures about 30 cm long (12 inches) and fork is 23.5 cm long (9.1/4 inches). Small bend to edge of knife, otherwise very nice condition. No box.

Victorian Spoon Warmer, Shell Shaped. Victorian silver plated Nautilus shell-shaped spoon warmer. Sits on a stand emulating rocks and a clam shell. Shell can be detached from the base by means of a butterfly nut for cleaning. Looks like silver plate on Britannia metal - no maker’s marks. Measures 14 cm high, 16.5 cm long and 9 cm wide (5.1/2 inches by 6.1/2 inches by 3.1/2 inches). There is quite a bit of wear all round to the plate and crinkling of the silver surface. Quaint item though.

Mother of Pearl and Silver Spoon. Possibly a caviar spoon - beautiful pearly mother-of-pearl spoon with silver plate fine turned handle. Could also be for a delicate sauce. Spoon measures 14.5 cm long (5.3/4 inches) with big bowl. Victorian or Edwardian item, very attractive. Very good condition. Some minor wear to plate on handle.

Measurements: 15 cm high, base is 8.2 cm square (6 inches high and 3.1/4 square bases).

Pair Good Quality Silver Plate Tongs. A lovely pair of tongs - a bit big for sugar nips, could be small sandwich or canapé tongs? In the Kings Plate pattern, and made by William Hutton and Sons. The curve between the two sides is engraved with the initial "H". A very good quality item, and would date from the late Victorian period. (Late 19th century). In very good condition.
