Chamber Candle Holder, Silver Plate on Copper An old chamber candle stick, silver plated on copper. Georgian design, with aperture for match box, and slot for snuffer, which would have been attached to the handle. Removable sconce. Looks like Old Sheffield Plate, but probably later. Reeded edges, good turning detail, has been a quality item. No maker’s marks. Measures 14 cm diameter (5.1/2 inches), and is 10 cm high (4 inches). Has age wear to the plate, showing the bleed of the copper through on edges and on the plate of the base.

Sheffield Plate Ink Stand. Victorian Old Sheffield Plate standish with two pots - one for ink and the other with perforated shaker top for sand (to blot the ink). Pen rests at either side. Gadrooned edge with shell motif handles and paw feet. Measures about 26 cm wide and 18.5 cm deep (10 inches by 7.1/2 inches). Basically very good condition - a few minor nibbles around the (hidden) glass tops of the pots, and some bleed showing at edges of the pen rests and on the ink pot top. No maker’s marks or registration marks.

Old Sheffield Plate Bottle or Decanter Coaste Beautiful Old Sheffield Plate coaster, pierced work sides with a design of acanthus leaves and flower heads. Beaded rim with dark oak turned wood bottom. This would date from circa 1800. It measures 4.75 cm high and 12.2 cm diameter (1.7/8 inches by 4.3/4 inches).
Very good condition. A little bleed showing on the edges (see photos), but otherwise excellent for the age. No maker’s mark.

Victorian Silver Plate Basket. Cake or bread basket - or maybe fruit these days. Swing handle and basket with ornate pattern throughout. Good quality silver plate, maker’s mark is B.Bros. S. in a shield - could be either Briddon Brothers of Sheffield, or Barker Brothers, Birmingham. Both active in England around this time - 1880s period.
Basket measures 8 cm high or about 21.5 cm high with the handle up (3.1/4 inches and 8.1/2 inches). Diameter: 26 cm (16.1/4 inches). Excellent condition.
Circa: Late 19th Century, 1880s

Victorian Spoon Warmer, Shell Shaped. Victorian silver plated Nautilus shell-shaped spoon warmer. Sits on a stand emulating rocks and a clam shell. Shell can be detached from the base by means of a butterfly nut for cleaning. Looks like silver plate on Britannia metal - no maker’s marks. Measures 14 cm high, 16.5 cm long and 9 cm wide (5.1/2 inches by 6.1/2 inches by 3.1/2 inches). There is quite a bit of wear all round to the plate and crinkling of the silver surface. Quaint item though.

Measurements: 15 cm high, base is 8.2 cm square (6 inches high and 3.1/4 square bases).
Excellent condition.

Pair Good Quality Silver Plate Tongs. A lovely pair of tongs - a bit big for sugar nips, could be small sandwich or canapé tongs? In the Kings Plate pattern, and made by William Hutton and Sons. The curve between the two sides is engraved with the initial "H". A very good quality item, and would date from the late Victorian period. (Late 19th century). In very good condition.
