This Chinese pendant could be a bird, or a turtle, or a fish, or a combination of all three. Flat soapstone (I think - could be marble), it is engraved on each side. A hole is drilled through just beneath the bird’s head. Measures 1.5/8 inches square (4.2cm). Only damage is a the absence of one wing end. (see close-up photo.) |
