A late 19th century, or possibly early 20th century pillow lace bobbin - made in turned wood. It has a hold drilled through the end if you wanted to put weights on it (these were usually coloured glass beads strung on a loop of fine wire). Measures 88mm long (3.1/2 inches) and 6mm diameter (1/4 inch) at its widest point. Excellent condition. |
