A brick coloured stoneware bottle, probably from boot black or ink. Measures 11.25cm high and 6.4cm diameter (4.1/2 inches by 2.1/2 inches). No maker’s marks. Found on an excavation in the historic whaling town of Russell, in New Zealand. |
