Pair 1920s Lustre Ware Pillar Vases, Art Deco. Art Deco 1920s pair of vases. Dark blue lustre glaze with fruit. Interiors are orange coloured. Marked underneath as Cyples Old Pottery, which is J.T. Fell & Co, of Longton in the Staffordshire Potteries. The vases measure 18 cm high and 10 cm diameter at the top (7 inches by 4 inches). Externally in excellent condition. Internally there is some wear to the orange lustre finish. Very nicely decorated and a handsome pair.

Large Ault Arts & Crafts Vase. Christopher Dresser often designed for William Ault, and the Staffordshire pottery existed between 1887 and 1903, after which it became Ault & Tunnicliffe. This vase has a terracotta coloured glaze, is very Arts and Crafts in style , and decorated with stylised handpainted scene of windmill and river. Early 20th century. Measures 26.5 cm high and about 14.5 cm diameter (10.1/2 inches by 5.3/4 inches). Excellent condition and a rare item.

Crown Ducal Cobalt Blue Vase with Butterfly. A pillar vase from English pottery Crown Ducal (A.G. Richardson & Co, Tunstall in the Staffordshire Potteries) - cobalt blue with lustre glaze internal neck, gilded rims and gold pattern of pine branches and needles. There is a humming bird in coloured enamels and gold on one side, and a butterfly on the other. Beautiful design in very good condition. The maker’s mark dates it at 1925 plus - probably early 1930s. Vase measures 15 cm high and 7.5 cm diameter at the top (6 inches by 3 inches). Excellent condition for the gilding and lustre - Has an internal V hairline in the base, but this doesn’t show through to the underneath outside, so more like a crazing mark.

Porcelain Candlestick, BlueBird, Passionfruit Flowers Vintage porcelain candlestick with very pretty pattern of blue birds and passion fruit flowers and vine. Also other flowers. Gilded scroll pattern to edges. Measures 19 cm high and 10 cm diameter at the base (7.1/2 inches by 4 inches). This is a really lovely feminine piece. Excellent condition, with only some minor wear to the gilding. No maker’s marks.

Deco Empire Ware Gondola Vase, 1929, signed. Spherical vase, made by Empire Ware (England) in June 1929. Measures 12.5 cm high and about14.6 cm diameter (5 inches by 5.3/4 inches). Pattern is called Gondola, and the tiny words "Venice" and "A.C.Rowley" flank the scene of the boat man and building. Staffordshire earthenware body, with usual fine clean glaze crazing. Some minor wear marks, but very stylish and true to the period.
