C12645

Royal Doulton Titanian Bowl, Restored. Large blue bowl by Royal Doulton in their Titanian porcelain. Eggshell thin, slightly mottled blue glaze. Fantastic china, it is so very fine, thin and light, it feels like a synthetic material, but is really bone china. Circa 1920s-30s. Bowl measures 27 cm diameter and 10.5 cm high (10.1/2 inches by 4 inches). It has been professionally restored - hard to see what the original damage was, but it appears to have three lines - across the bowl down either end, and one across the middle. In other words, probably broken into three pieces and professionally restored and repainted. Selling on consignment.
Please ask for a postage quote before ordering, as the system will not process the order without this.
Circa: 1920s-30s
Condition: Restored, see description

It has a freehand pattern of open roses against a hand decorated blue/grey/green background. Pattern number D6227. The shape is wide and trumpet-like, curving away at the upper rim,. Vase has a mottled aqua glaze to the inside. It is a good shape and size to use for flowers. Measures 14.5 cm high (5.3/4 inches). Top rim is 15 cm diameter (just under 6 inches). Excellent condition, apart from a few minor marks in the bottom inside. Please ask for a postage quote before ordering, as the system will reject the order without this.

M216

Tall Doulton Burslem Vase, Victorian, Hand Decorated. Beautiful tall Doulton vase, with registration mark dating it circa 1887 to 1890. Pale blush peach colour with tube lining in gold, and having gilded handles and neck. Handpainted pastel chrysanthemums are the decoration. There are several marks underneath, including the Doulton Burslem mark, registration mark and a hand written mark (S.W. 664) and a monogram which appears to be ZA or 2A. Close-up photo is included among the images.
This vase has had a professional restoration to the foot base, but it is an excellent restoration and cannot be seen. (Photo of under base with mark: the dark splotches are where felt or similar was once attached). There is the very faint all-over tight small clean body crazing that these earthenwares develop, and a tiny tight line on the neck (see photos). This is a truly handsome antique vase. Measurements: 33 cm high and approx. 9.8 cm diameter.
Circa: 1887-1890

C14163

Unusual Doulton Lambeth Seashells Beaker, Signed. Conical large beaker or vase, in Doulton, Lambeth, stoneware with decoration of little seashells. Rim is navy blue - this may have been repainted, or possibly once had a silver covering rim. Interior is brown. Underneath is stamped Doulton Lambeth circularly with no outside ring, 1878, a few other impressed marks, and the potter's signature with looks like E.J. As the word England is absent, 1878 might very well be the date it was made. Certainly pre-1891. The vase measures 13.3 cm high and 8.7 cm diameter at the top rim, tapering to 5.4 cm diameter at the bottom rim. Apart from the finish on the top rim, it is in very good condition. An unusual design and very attractive.

Click for more detail...

C12440

Very Large Royal Doulton Bowl, circa 1906. A very large chamber bowl (as in jug and basin set). Edwardian period Royal Doulton, circa 1906. The scene around the outside is a wild scene of fir trees (I think) with water and views of distant blue mountains or hills. The pattern is heavily highlighted by hand under the glaze, so feels in relief. Dark green rim. Bowl has a registration mark for the period 1903-1905, and the design number is D2511 H which was about 1906. Bowl measures 14 cm high and 42 cm diameter (5.1/2 inches by 16.1/2). Condition is very good - minor rubbing to the green rim paint, and some typical earthenware crazing internally. Very heavy!
