Pretty Royal Doulton plate in their Nasturtium design, number 7979. Sandwich or cake plate, measuring 23 cm by 18.5 cm (9 inches by 7.1/4 inches). Circa 1930s. Has a little wear to the gilded edges, otherwise very good condition.
Really quaint Art Deco period electric mantel clock. Wood, painted cream and green (so very Deco), with some peeling and distressing - all natural. Electric movement in bakelite case, stamped Metamec Electric, England. 200/250 volts. 50 cycles. Wire from clock has been cut - you would have to rewire and check movement. I don’t know if it works, but movement could be replaced . Carries an old transfer from a Nelson (New Zealand) Electrical Winding Service company - probably 1930s. Measures 21 cm high by 29 cm wide (8.1/4 inches by 11.1/2 inches).
Wall-mounted coffee grinder, circa 1930s-50s. Adjustable grind. Ceramic bean holder with windmill picture, cast metal grinder and handle, and glass container for the ground beans. Whole including wooden backing plate measures 33 cm by 12.5 cm (13 inches by 5 inches). Very good condition. A little wear to the blue of the windmill scene.
Old Mason’s jug, rather the worse for wear, but a great character jug for flowers. The pattern is Vista, and it would date from around 1930s plus. Measures 14.5 cm high by 17 cm wide handle to spout (5.3/4 inches by 6.3/4 inches). It has a lot of staining inside, an old chip under the rim, and another old chip under the base. Also general crazing and a few marks. Wouldn’t normally bother putting an item like this up, but it really would make a quaint vase.
Late Victorian or Edwardian period mustard pot. Would once have been part of a cruet set in a stand. It measures 8 cm high and 3.2 cm diameter (3.1/8 inches by 1.1/4 inches). There is some wear to the silver plate on the edges of the lid and a little minor scuffing to the facet edges of the glass, otherwise very good original condition.
Vintage iced water bar jug for Beefeater Gin. Made by Wade. Gilded rim and handle flash. Jug measures 155 mm high by 130 mm wide handle to spout (6 inches by 5.1/2 inches). Excellent condition.
Old bar jug for iced water - made by Wade for Macleay Duff Scotch. Measures approx. 110 mm high by 155 mm wide handle to spout (4.3/8 inches by 6 inches). It has some light but visible staining inside and clean crazing. Wear to gilded edges. Circa 1950s plus.
Two little blue glass jars, probably once were ointment pots. They each measure 51 mm high y 40 mm diameter (2 inches by 1.9/16 inch). Very good condition - minor tiny frits on neck rim, but really very minor. Slight rain-bowing to one.
Vintage Coke bottle, green-tinted glass. Coca-cola printed on one side, Coke on the other. 6.1/2 fluid ounces. Underneath is marked "Logan, Utah" and "......(something) bottle trade. 1." Has a few scuff commensurate with possibly a vending machine, and a small bruise on the neck rim. Measures 195 mm high and 58 mm diameter 7.1/2 inches by 2.1/4 inches).
Vintage large blue glass bottle - probably medicine. Oval shape. Measures 185 mm high by 78 mm wide by 42 mm deep (7.1/4 inches by 3.1/8 inches by 1.5/8 inches). "22" mark under base. Screw-thread neck. Nice stepped neck detail. No damage, but a little muddy.
Good carved polished bone cross on plaited cord with bone toggle. Cross measures 60 mm by 35 mm (2.3/8 inches by 1.3/8 inches). Cord is adjustable. Circa late 20th century. Probably Maori carved.
Old brass Yorkshire Insurance Co. Ltd plaque. "Fire, Accident & Livestock". Measures 19.5 cm by 25.5 cm (7.3/4 inches by 10 inches). Very good condition - little dent in bottom right corner (would straighten).
Pair of Victorian sterling silver open salts in the form of little shells, each on three ball feet. They are hallmarked for Chester (England), 1897. Maker’s mark is L & Co, in two ovals. Each salt measures 17 mm high and 45 mm by 50 mm (just under 3/4 inch by 1.3/4 inches by 2 inches). Weight is approx. 16 grams. Very good condition - one salt has the left hand front foot pushed a little up so you can see in from the top, but this is very minor. Very attractive Victorian pair.
Very stylish shape to this square section Haig Scotch Whisky jug by Carltonware. Bright red with black edging. Measures 18 cm high and 9 cm square (7 inches by 3.1/2 inches). Excellent condition except for 2 minor glaze/colour flakes off the top rim.
Very cute little bracelet - gold plate twist-detail little rods with knots of faux pearls in between. Carries the Avon tag by the clasp. Measures 18.50 cm long (7.1/4 inches). Excellent condition.
Faux pearl drop pendant, with crystal set above it - gold plated, suspended on a gold plated chain. Matching earrings. Chain is 43.5 cm long (17 inches), and the pendant measures 3.3 cm long (just over 1.1/4 inches). Earrings measure 2.7 cm long (just over 1 inch). Excellent condition.
Pair of Georgian period Old Sheffield Plate candlesticks, measuring 27 cm high (10.3/4 inches). The bases are 12.5 cm diameter (5 inches). They have detachable sconces, and an ornate pattern of shells foliage and flowers. No maker’s marks. Circa 1820s. There is some bleed showing, especially on the lower section of one stick. There are also some old repairs underneath the embossed rings below the sconces - these can only be seen from eye level or underneath. Lovely pair, very heavy (weighted).
Pretty table napkin ring, with crimped edges, bevelled inner band, and acanthus scroll embossed design. Hallmarked for Birmingham, England in 1902. Ring measures 2.3 cm high and 4.6 cm diameter (just under 1 inch by 1.3/4 inches). Weight is 7 grams.
Lettuce and Tomato pattern Carlton Ware gravy boat - it has the Australian Registration mark, and dates around the 1930s-50s. With it is a pepper and salt pair, in similar pattern - however, these are not marked as Carlton Ware. Both the gravy boat and the condiment set are faulted as follows: the gravy boat has a hairline at the pourer, and some crazing to the inside bottom. There is also a mark shown in the photos, but this is just dirt, and can be scrapped off. The salt shaker has some degradation to the glaze, resulting in chips of glaze and colour coming off on the front and sides, lower half. This could be cosmetically touched up to look better. The pepper is in excellent condition. Gravy boat measures 13.75 cm long and 5.5 cm high (5.3/8 inches by 2.1/4 inches). The salt and pepper are each 9 cm high and 4.8 cm diameter (3.1/2 inches by 1.7/8 inches).
Very stylish 50s shape to this vintage set - celluloid handles (as bone), stainless steel blade and tines. Fork has its hinged finger rest. Made by Viners of Sheffield. Circa 1950s. Very good condition.
